What To Know About Air Travel During CORONAVIRUS Outbreak ?
What is coronavirus?
Coronavirus was first discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, within the Hubei province of China. WHO announced on Feb. 12 that the official name for the specific strain of coronavirus is Covid-19.
On March 11, WHO tweeted that they have officially characterized coronavirus as "pandemic."
“Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, some causing illness in people and others that circulate among animals, including camels, cats, and bats,” according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Both Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) are caused by a coronavirus, but not the strain that’s currently circulating.
The doctor who first discovered this strain of coronavirus and alerted authorities, Li Wenliang, died at age 34 of the disease on Feb. 7. China quickly launched an investigation into his death, according to a statement released by the official Xinhua news agency.
"We express our deep condolences and sadness, pay our tribute to him for fighting on the front line against the epidemic, and show our sincere sympathy to his family," government reps said in the statement.

What To Know About Air Travel During CORONAVIRUS Outbreak ?
It's been an interesting time to traveling right now, when its definitely heightened anxiety. people are trying really hard to stay safe, not get sick.Places like vietnam, ho chi minh city, seoul, thailand, malaysia. so all of these airports i would say are still definitely seeing people come through. But in general i would say that people are definitely still travelling, these airports are still crowded. so i would say that some flights are definitely emptier unusual, but its not as striking as i might thought it would be.
The biggest thing which i have been noticing is the temperature checks. Every passenger has to go through the temperature checks. There are several different medical stations set up where they were kind of monitoring peoples temperatures as they walked down the hallway. i know that is kind of more common practice at different airports outside the u.s already, so not necessarily only linked to coronavirus, and then people have been randomly pulled aside to have their temperature checks at the different airports.
A lot of flight attendants that i've been seeing while travelling have been wearing masks. I would say basically the vast majority have been worn masks so , that is pretty much standard at this point it seems like. some wearing gloves as well .
The biggest and most effective thing is to protect yourself by sanitizing your seat every time you sit down. So having some lysol wipes, clorox wipes , just these sanitizing wipes and wipe down the entire area before starting the flight, it helps to reduce the chance of being sick .
( This is how to clean your seat)

And whenever you have a chance to go out just wash your hands in the bathroom instead of just relying on hand sanitizer. so stay clean, just be aware. And if youre next to someone who's coughing, just ask to change seats and you will easily find because of emptier flight. If the CDC says its safe to travel somewhere then you have to accept their judgement at this point.
